JONATHAN KAUFFMAN

“A musician who has synthesized the emotional and cerebral parts of music.” American composer, producer, and performer Jonathan Kauffman transforms human emotion into sound. Finding inspiration in life’s profound experiences, he creates music and soundscapes that are serene, introspective, and deeply moving.

 

Music has been a momentous part of Jonathan’s life from a very early age.  Jonathan began taking piano lessons at the age of 7 in his hometown of Austin Texas, and later would pick up percussion in his teens. It was here where Jonathan’s love for music flourished, he began to write his own music and would go on to win both the Texas State Percussion Solo Contest in 2019, as well as the Cedar Park Young Artist Competition in 2020.

 

At age 19, Jonathan left his home town and decided to move across the country to Boston Massachusetts, where he would later graduate from Berklee College of Music in 2025. That same year, Jonathan began to score his first feature film Egg Drop Soup (2026), as well as write all of the music to NASCAR’s Welcome to Reaume. 

 

While Jonathan cites his own emotions as being a major influence on his music, he feels that he developed his sound while taking late night walks through Boston, where he was often hit with memories of home. This feeling was something that he felt he could only emulate through music, and has since become a profound driving force behind his nostalgic, emotive, and intimate sound.
